1. What is merino wool? Will it be itchy on my baby? 2. How do I know the sweater will fit my baby? Our sweaters are sized to fit a range of babies and are aimed at the average size for any given age. Also, our yarn and construction allows for stretching over many months. The wearing life of the sweaters can also be extended by stretching and shaping them to the desired size when you lay them flat to dry after washing.

Merino is a superfine grade of wool from merino sheep. It is very smoothly spun so that it has a silky appearance. It is soft as cashmere, but does not pill the way cashmere does. It is definitely not itchy.
On our sizing page we give you a chart of standard body sizes for infants. Remember, infants vary in size so that some 3 month olds wear a 6 month size and so do some 1 year olds. As you know, sizing varies from brand to brand depending on the amount of ease figured in. Based on our experiences with our own children, we have sized these sweaters to be comfortable and not tightly fitted, but also not extremely oversized.
All of our sweaters can be dry cleaned, but the preferred method is hand washing. It is easy to wash these small sweaters in a sinkfull of lukewarm water with mild soap such as Ivory liquid or gentle shampoo. You may want to add a drop of liquid hair conditioner to the rinse. Squeeze the water from the sweater and roll it in a clean towel to remove more water. Then lay the sweater on a clean, dry towel to finish drying. Your sweater will be soft and fluffy, and will smell delicious, too.

All of our sweaters are made to order, one at a time. Please allow 2 to 6 weeks for a sweater to be ready, depending on how many I am working on. Email me with your specifications and your wish list and I will get back to you promptly with an estimate of when the sweater will be completed.
Yes, we want you to be 100% satisfied. New, unused items with tags attached can be returned within 10 days if there is a problem. Please do not send items back until you email us to receive your return item forms. We cannot accept items that do not have the return forms attached.
